I was born and raised in New York as a kid, and then my family and I moved to Pakistan when I was 9. I lived there for 8 years before coming back to the US in 2022, after completing my O and A levels in Pakistan. I now live in Virginia with my parents. Having the fortune to be a part of two very different cultures, i.e. the Pakistani and American cultures, I have grown to be more understanding of people and the way people think, and more open-minded. I realize that it's important that we recognize the similarities between different cultures and celebrate our shared attributes, rather than antagonizing each other based on our differences.
Having the opportunity to transfer to a 4-year university that's part of the TSN isn't just about the academics or prestige, it's about becoming a part of a community that embraces students of all ethnicities and creating their own culture of innovation and growth. Having the honor of calling myself a member of such an environment is my biggest goal as I navigate my college life.
