If you’d like, share any extracurricular activities, professional details, or personal experiences you would like TSN partners to know about you. Responses can be as brief or long as you’d like. | My personal journey began at the age of nine when I started learning Shaolin Kung Fu alone. This continued until the age of 16, during which I underwent approximately 10 hours of Kung Fu training each day. There were no summer breaks, and no time allocated for learning academic subjects. All of this was in pursuit of maintaining both explosive physical abilities and inner calmness simultaneously, particularly for competitions and sports. In December 2015, at the age of 16, I successfully passed the school's training examination. Subsequently, I was invited to the United States to share and teach Shaolin Kung Fu and the culture I had learned. In February 2019, my ESOL teacher recommended I enroll at Mountain View High School for academic studies. It was my first time attending high school. With the assistance of my high school counselor, I graduated smoothly in the summer of 2021 and proceeded to Northern Virginia Community College to continue my academic pursuits. Currently, I am a part-time student at NOVA and also serve as an instructor in Shaolin Kung Fu. I'm balancing my work and study. Meanwhile, I also waiting for the approval of my Alien Registration Card. A phrase I often tell myself is, "The worst outcome is never failure but rather not daring to begin." This belief is the cornerstone of my dedication and serves as the driving force behind my pursuit of my dreams. | ||||||||||
